Das Prestige \u00e4u\u00dferst sich unter anderem auch darin, dass Rolex die weltweit meist kopierte Uhrenmarke ist.<br \/>\nDoch was ist es, dass eine Rolex so besonders macht? <!--more--><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"p-ob-minusgrade-wasser-oder-mehrere-hundert-bar-rolex-haelt-stand\">Ob Minusgrade, Wasser oder mehrere hundert Bar \u2013 Rolex h\u00e4lt stand<\/h2>\n<p>Rolex leistet bei der Entwicklung der Armbanduhr seit 1905 Pionierarbeit. Mit zukunftsweisenden Innovationen setzte die Marke Meilensteine in der Geschichte der Uhrmacherkunst. Einige der herausragenden Innovationen erhielten sogar eigene Markennamen. Dazu geh\u00f6ren beispielsweise die \u201eTwinlock\u201c- und \u201eTriplock\u201c-Kronensysteme, die aufgrund mehrerer Dichtungen die Uhr besonders wasserdicht werden lassen. Bereits zuvor hatte Rolex die erste wasserdichte Armbanduhr entworfen. 1926 versuchte die Londoner Schwimmerin Mercedes Gleitze den \u00c4rmelkanal zu durchschwimmen. Sie musste sich zwar geschlagen geben, aber die wasserdichte Oyster, die sie um den Hals trug, hatte den Test unbeschadet \u00fcberstanden. Auch der Selbstaufzugsmechanismus mittels Perpetual-Rotor geht auf das Konto der Rolex-Innovationen. Es ist also nicht weiter verwunderlich, dass Rolex Armbanduhren seit mehr als einem Jahrhundert Forscher und Entdecker rund um die Welt begleiten und ihnen bei anspruchsvollsten Missionen als zuverl\u00e4ssiger Gef\u00e4hrte zur Seite stehen. So begleitete die Explorer Bergsteiger auf den Mount Everest und die Rolex DeepSea sogar James Cameron bis in die tiefsten Abgr\u00fcnde der Ozeane, den Mariannengraben.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"p-qualitaet-will-gelernt-sein\">Qualit\u00e4t will gelernt sein<\/h2>\n<p>Nahezu alle der heute erh\u00e4ltlichen Rolexmodelle existierten bereits vor 50 Jahren. Selbstredend hat der Konzern im Laufe der Jahre Ver\u00e4nderungen vorgenommen, die jedoch haupts\u00e4chlich technischer Natur waren. Rolex ist sich sehr wohl bewusst, welche Faktoren die Kundschaft an ihren Uhren sch\u00e4tzt und so kommt es, dass das Unternehmen \u00c4nderungen an den Modellen stets sehr langsam und behutsam durchgef\u00fchrt hat. Erst gegen Ende der 1980er Jahre ersetzte Rolex das Plexiglas in seinen Modellen durch das seit 1970 in der Rolex Quartz Date verbaute Saphirglas. Doch nicht nur die Konstanz der Modelle, sondern auch die Tatsache, dass Rolex s\u00e4mtliche Teile in eigener Manufaktur fertigt und jeden Produktionsschritt selbst ausf\u00fchrt, sind ebenso ein Alleinstellungsmerkmal dieser Firma, wie die Herstellung des eigenen Goldes in der firmeneigenen Scheideanstalt.<\/p>\n<p>Rolex sucht nicht nur in Sachen Qualit\u00e4t und Funktionalit\u00e4t seinesgleichen, sondern auch in den Bereichen Wertschaffung und Werterhalt. Aus diesem Grund sind nicht nur die Vintage Modelle gefragter denn je, sondern auch die immer wieder neu aufgelegten Modelle von Rolex. So sind zum Beispiel die kommende Daytona mit Keramikl\u00fcnette oder die im Jahre 2014 vorgestellte GMT Master 2 BLNR mit blauschwarzer Keramikl\u00fcnette absolute Renner und im Regelfall auf Jahre ausverkauft. <\/p>\n<h2 id=\"p-rolex-und-das-maerchen-vom-namen\">Rolex und das M\u00e4rchen vom Namen<\/h2>\n<p>Passend zu den ber\u00fchmt-ber\u00fcchtigten Modellen ist auch, dass bis heute nicht vollst\u00e4ndig gekl\u00e4rt ist, welchem Ursprung der Name Rolex entstammt. Geschichten, Theorien und Mutma\u00dfungen ranken sich um die Kombination der 5 Buchstaben, keine wurde von Gr\u00fcnder Wilsdorf jemals best\u00e4tigt. Manche behaupten, Wilsdorf h\u00e4tte es George Eastmans gleichgetan, der, als er den Namen Kodak f\u00fcr seine Firma erfand, es zum Trend werden lie\u00df, kurze erfundene Markennamen zu verwenden. Diese Theorie wird unter anderem von dem Fakt untermauert, dass Rolex auf seiner eigenen Website angibt, Wilsdorf habe nach einem Namen gesucht, der in allen L\u00e4ndern der Welt leicht auszusprechen sei. Nach unz\u00e4hligen Buchstabenkombinationen sei er schlie\u00dflich auf Rolex gekommen. Aber auch die Theorie, dass Rolex sich von dem franz\u00f6sischen Begriff \u201ehorlogerie exquise\u201c ableite, der zu Deutsch \u201eexquisite Zeitmesser\u201c bedeutet, h\u00e4lt sich hartn\u00e4ckig. Wie dem auch sei, eines steht definitiv fest.
